I grew up in the Fort Worth area and then moved to College Station after high school where I attended Texas A&M, majoring in civil engineering. While I was there, I adopted a wonderful little monster, Nessie (our now 8 year old dog) and met my husband, Nick a fellow District H member. I moved to Houston a couple years after school and am loving it! Nick and I like taking advantage of outdoor activities that Houston has to offer- from going to memorial park, golfing, or walking our dog by the bayou.
When did you start working out District H?
What made you decide to start working out in general?
Between planning our wedding that took place earlier this year and general work/life stress- I needed an outlet and working out has always been a great stress reliever for me.
How have your workouts made an impact on your life outside of the gym?
Mentally, I’ve been clearer / less stressed and physically, I’m more confidant- taking the extra grocery bag, moving the heavy box, taking the stairs, etc.
What is your favorite & least favorite workout or movement?
Favorite – kettle bell swings (really just anything but running- just kidding…) Least favorite – wall balls
What is your favorite & least favorite lift?
Favorite – back squat
Least favorite – z press
What are your fitness goals?
To consistently show up and push myself.
What is your proudest gym moment/achievement?
Hitting over 100 lbs on back squat!
What is your favorite quote or words to live by?

Tell us something people would be surprised to know about you.
I hate eggs- always have! It makes eating breakfast out a little more complicated…
What advice would you give to newbies?
Just keep going! Everyone at District H is always willing to help and is so kind!
