Tell us a little bit about yourself (family, job, interests/hobbies, etc).
Originally from North Louisiana and moved to Houston in 2014. I’ve been married to my wife, Magan, for the past eight years. We have a daughter named, Ella, who is 10 months old. We also have 2 rescue puppies, Murphy and Nola. I work as a Systems Engineering Manager for Home Depot. Interests include really anything sports related, video games, and spending time with family.

What made you decide to start working out in general?
I played sports all the way through college so I have worked out most of my life. After college, I wanted to stay active and do something competitive that kept me in shape.
How have your workouts made an impact on your life outside of the gym?
It helps me stay disciplined and helps me start the day right with a good work out. I can definitely tell I am more alert and have more energy the days I get a workout in.
Another positive thing would be that it’s introduced me to other driven, health minded, competitive people that make me want to get better in all aspects of life.

Favorite Workouts- Anything with cleans
Least – long cardio workouts

Favorite – Squat cleans
Least – Deadlifts
What are your fitness goals?
Workout out enough to not to be a complete fatty
What is your proudest gym moment/achievement?
Squatting 500lbs

I’m very handy. Usually can fix just about anything and can make whatever Pinterest dreams my wife has a reality.
What advice would you give to newbies?
Just really dive in, show up, and commit to your goals and the results will come.
District H coaches and members create a very encouraging and open space for people of all fitness levels. It’s one of the best things I’ve done for myself this year.
