Coaching for busy Houstonians
Mobility and Recovery Training in Houston
Strength without movement quality catches up with you. District H builds mobility and recovery work directly into every member's program, and for members who need more, Iron Horse Physical Therapy operates inside both locations.
Book a Discovery CallWhy mobility is part of the strength program
Most adults lose range of motion gradually and do not notice until a lift stalls or something starts hurting. At District H, coaches assess your movement patterns before building your program, so restrictions are addressed before they become injuries. Mobility drills are programmed intentionally, not bolted on as an afterthought.
For members returning from an injury or recovering from surgery, the path is the same: assess first, then program. Your coach works from your actual starting point, progresses you at your pace, and coordinates directly with physical therapy when that overlap exists.
Iron Horse Physical Therapy, inside the gym
District H is one of the only gyms in Houston where physical therapy operates on the floor, not in a separate clinic. Iron Horse PT coaches work alongside District H coaches in both the Heights and Oak Forest locations. If a District H member has a nagging shoulder, a knee recovering from surgery, or a chronic back issue, the PT team is a conversation away, and both programs share information so nothing falls through the cracks.
This partnership also means members returning from injury do not have to choose between rehab and training. The two tracks run concurrently inside the same building, under coaches and PTs who communicate directly.
Available at both Houston locations
- The Heights gym: 1044 Studewood Street, Houston Heights. Personal training and small group sessions, Iron Horse PT on-site.
- The Oak Forest gym: 2219 W 34th Street, Suite B. Same coaching model and PT partnership, closer to Garden Oaks and Shepherd Park Plaza.
Memberships start at $195 per month with a 14 day money back guarantee, and every member begins with a free discovery call so a coach can map your starting point before your first session.
Mobility and recovery FAQ
Do I need to be injured to focus on mobility and recovery?
No. Most District H members add mobility work before or after their strength sessions to improve how they move, not just because something hurts. Better movement means heavier, safer lifts and fewer setbacks over the years.
How does Iron Horse PT fit into District H training?
Iron Horse Physical Therapy operates inside the gym and works alongside our coaches. If your coach notices a movement restriction or recurring pain, they can connect you directly with the PT team without you leaving the building. The two programs share information so your strength and rehab plans work together.
Can I join District H just for mobility work, without the strength program?
Yes, though most members find the combination more effective. Start with a free discovery call and a coach will map out the right mix for your goals, history, and schedule.
