Congratulations, you have decided that you are ready to make a change in your life. In the back of your mind, you have this uneasy feeling that this time will be like times in the past when you made a similar decision.
Let me give you a little-known secret…you don’t have to do this alone. In fact, I’ve found the most transformational moments in my life came surrounded by a team of trusted confidants.
Whenever we decide to start a new venture, where both uncertainty and uneasiness exist, it’s easy to resort to only relying on ourselves. We know ourselves the very best, but more importantly…we trust ourselves the very most.
Trust is often misplaced in the fitness industry. We are told that there are “quick fixes” to the real problems we are trying to solve. It makes it seem as though we are “idiots” for not realizing how quick and easy it is to get into the best shape of our lives or completely reversing years of long-term behaviors.
“Take this supplement!” “Do this diet!” “Buy this equipment!” All of this is meant to feed into that uncertainty and uneasiness inside of you with false certainty…often making a quick buck doing so.
Here is the truth.
What you are about to do will be one of the most challenging things you will ever do in your life.
There may be times where you feel vulnerable or uncomfortable. There may be times where you feel overwhelmed. There may be days where you feel unable to continue.
Lean into it! That is where growth happens.
The reality is that everyone deals with these same exact feelings every single day. Don’t let them deter you from becoming the very best version of yourself possible.
More importantly, surround yourself with trusted confidants, who you trust for guidance, support, and encouragement.
As a professional coach, my goal is to understand you and provide you with a roadmap to accomplish this transformation you have set out for yourself.
One size does not fit all when it comes to a health and fitness prescription. It takes a complete understanding of you as a person. Your job, family, stress levels, dietary preferences, workout history, mindset, social connections, fears, and learning style are just a shortlist of what it takes to coach another human being.
I would enjoy the opportunity to learn more about you as a person, what fitness means in your life, your goals, and how I can best set you up for success.
It all starts with a conversation. Here is a link to my calendar. I am here to talk anytime you are ready to take the first step.
