I’ve lived in houston for 13 years. Im a heights resident and newly married. I work in healthcare sales. When I’m not working I live to travel and love trying new restaurants with my husband and spending time with our two dogs!
When did you start working out District H?
I started working out at District H about 6 months ago
What made you decide to start working out in general?
I’ve always been pretty active but I wanted to get back into lifting and take my health and fitness to the next level
How have your workouts made an impact on your life outside of the gym?
I feel stronger than I have in a long time and have so much more energy!
What is your favorite & least favorite workout or movement?
Right now I’m loving all our strength cycles. I definitely despise burpees!
What is your favorite & least favorite lift?
I love power cleans and I could live happily if I never had to do a thruster again!
What is your proudest gym moment/achievement?
I don’t know if I have one moment, but I’m proud of myself for how far I’ve come and PR’d on all my lifts!
What is your favorite quote or words to live by?
Life is short, so do what makes you happy and spend more time with the people that you love.
Tell us something people would be surprised to know about you.
I’ve been on multiple solo trips to Europe before. I love to travel! I’ve also run the Houston half marathon 3 times before (in a past life haha)
What advice would you give to newbies?
Everyone starts somewhere. Just show up and do your best. A year from now you will wish you started today!
